Hornets coach Steve Clifford tired of ‘good job, good effort’ in Charlotte

It’s time for the Hornets — and their fans — to demand better, coach Steve Clifford says.

Clifford issued the challenge after a capacity crowd in Charlotte watched the Hornets stay close with native son Stephen Curry and the Warriors before losing 113-103 Wednesday. The Hornets led for much of the fourth quarter.

Clifford tweaked the fans for their low expectations and overall willingness to be satisfied with the team trying hard.

Just got to Green Bay not too long ago and couldn’t get into the dorms, so now I’m sleeping on the floor (in front of) my locker, Bennett said in a video posted on his Instagram account. Camp life, Day 1.

Sleeping on the floor actually doesn’t bother me, I actually like to sleep on the floor from time to time. Honestly. I should’ve told somebody I’d be getting in late tonight.

Packers coach Mike McCarthy claimed he was unaware of Bennett’s overnight stay until the next day.

I heard all about it, McCarthy said Wednesday, via ESPN. I was here late last night, so he must have came after I left. I don’t usually check lockers for people sleeping.

The Packers are scheduled to hold their first practice Thursday after players reported for physicals at 6 a.m. CT on Wednesday. At least Bennett was on time for that.

The most pressure is on left tackle Donovan Smith to better protect Winston’s blind side after a rough 2016. Left guard looks like Kevin Pamphile’s job to lose with holdovers Joe Hawley and Evan Smith Cheap Dri Fit Jerseys as the uninspiring competition. Right tackle Demar Dotson, who turns 32 in October, offers the Cheap Embroidered NFL Jerseys most experience and stability.
