Myles Garrett’s injury one of many unknowns as NFL workout season ends

The most important lesson of NFL offseason workouts is to not put too much stock in them.

Unless a player — for example, the first overall pick in the entire draft — gets hurt. In that case, what happened in offseason workouts is vitally important. Unless it isn’t.

The Browns aren’t really saying one way or another how serious Myles Garrett’s foot Cheap High Quality Jerseys injury is. It happened Wednesday, the next-to-last day of mandatory minicamp, the last sanctioned workout before the league takes a break until late July’s training camps. On Friday, things were still vague.

After earning Offensive Rookie of the Year honors in his first season, injuries changed the trajectory of his career. Griffin was released by Washington following the 2015 season. Griffin won the starting Cheap Ireland Football Jerseys job with the Cleveland Browns in 2016, but suffered a shoulder injury in Week 1 that kept him off the field for most of the season. The Browns released him in March, and he remains unsigned. Although the Rams did cut quarterback Dylan Thompson on Thursday, and they just have Jared Goff and Sean Mannion on the roster. Perhaps they could bring this thing full circle and just sign Griffin, too.

Jeff Fisher was the coach of the Rams when the team worked out the Griffin trade. Fisher was fired after a 4-9 start last season. Mike Shanahan was Washington’s head coach when the team drafted Griffin. He was fired after a 3-13 finish in 2013. Both remain unemployed.

At least the Rams ended up with Ogletree and Brockers, who are two key members of the defense. But overall, this trade didn’t go well for anyone involved.
