Jazz vs. Warriors 2017, NBA playoffs: Schedule, scores, predictions, and news

The Western Conference Semifinals scene has been set, and the Utah Jazz have advanced for a second-round dance with the top-ranked Golden State Warriors.

The Warriors convincingly dispatched the Portland Trail Blazers in NFL Jerseys 2014 four games, earning more than a week’s worth of rest in the process. They have a fully healthy roster now after losing Kevin Durant to a phantom left calf strain.

Without Durant, Stephen Curry re-emerged as the reigning two-time MVP, averaging 29.8 points on 42 percent three-point shooting for the series. But it was Draymond Green who picked up first-round MVP honors for the Warriors, averaging over four blocks per game and anchoring a Golden State defense that kept the Trail Blazers at bay much of the series.

That off-the-field leadership has the adults who watched him grow into an All-Pac-12 defensive end convinced he’ll be a success at the next level.

“Whoever drafts him, he’s going to make them right,” said Fex. “Not just on the field; in the locker room — he’ll be a fan favorite in the stadium, he’ll be a fan favorite in the community. It’s gonna be fun to watch.”

Thomas shared that sentiment, while acknowledging he can only get there through hard work.

“I feel like I can do so much in this world. I want to be the best person I can be. Best teammate. Best player.”

At this point, the traditionalists in hockey media will doubtless argue that because his career hasn’t followed the “accepted” path, that Chayka has not earned the credentials to be called a “hockey man”. In short, they’re once again appealing to authority by saying you can’t be a “hockey man” until you’ve followed a very narrowly defined set of criteria, ironically championed most by people who claim to be part of that fraternity in a journalistic capacity but often haven’t had near the involvement of those they criticized (I can’t find Mark Spector’s player or coaching stats anywhere, funnily enough).
